Q.  Is there access to either data files or documents illustrating typical
1D vertical weighting functions for AIRS channels.for nominal
temperature, absorption etc.?  

A.  The weighting functions vary with scan angle, latitude and season. We
have no tables of weighting functions for the 2378 AIRS IR channels,
only a single figure for a representative standard atmosphere.
