Q.  When will the AIRS CO2 product be available?
  

A.  Per the future AIRS mid-tropospheric CO2 product:

We have just delivered V5 to the GES DISC, and it does not include this
product. We expect it will be part of the V6 delivery, whose schedule
is not yet firm.

This product is not a PBL product. It is mid-tropospheric, sensitive in
the 300-500 mb pressure regime. We increase our sensitivity by
combining individual retrievals over a 100x100km zone.

We are investigating extending into the planetary boundary layer, but we
must first achieve a more accurate retrieval of the land surface
emissivity.
